Facebook is out and I'm Freaking!

FACEBOOK is not responding and I'm about to lose it  Okay, so maybe I need to eat a Twinkie and chill a bit. Not being able to play my favorite apps (Mafia Wars, Nitrous Racing, My Fairyland) is NOT the end of the world... umm... riiiight.

I've also been viewing the 1st Episode of Ghost Hunters for this season. Freaked me out a bit when Jason ended up with scratches on his leg during the first investigation... though it's fizzled out with the next investigation and left me bored enough to get on line. Though I can hear the show in the background and can easily rewind the DVR if needed  I do so enjoy watching Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State, Ghost Hunters International.... and various other chilling shows that peak my interest in all things Ghosty. I must admit that I do have a major crush on G.H's, Jason. Too bad he's all sorts of married and well... would never know I'm alive in the first place lol Love them or hate them... I still enjoy watching them and can't wait to see where they go for the Halloween Special.

Been working six days per week for the last two weeks... I'm about to get tired of this. My laundry is way behind, my dishwasher has bit the dust, and I'm positive there is a dog in the house... though she's continuing to hide or is lost in all the junk I've accumulated. I know she's here lol though rarely seen... she's at least eating her kibble. I'll let you know if she decides to surface.

I said goodbye to a friend a couple weeks ago... actually he was my boss. He told me several months ago... that if he got the chance to move him and his family back to PA... he would. The chance came for a move and he took it. Can't truly blame him... his wife and children will be back with their family and he will be moving into a position that he's comfortable with. Though I didn't know just how much he would be missed... everyone misses him... and me more than I'd admit to anyone. He was just one of those that you could chat about anything to... he dealt with problems tactfully... and we even shared the same birthdate! He left earlier than any of us (including him) expected. Our new boss... well... everyone deserves two weeks to settle in... don't they? He's making changes... things that the staff are freaking out about, though I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. It's hard to accept change... though what he's doing will eventually make things better... more efficient.

My buddy, Jalal, is back in the states after going to visit his father's homeland. I'm so happy they didn't decide to keep him lol Hopefully he'll upload some new pics... might even allow me to borrow one to show here.

Well I'm going to finish up... try to get Facebook to load... and then off to bed. I'll try to get this place spiffy again... until then.. take care and don't take any wooden nickels.

Ack!

Absolutely amazing! This month has flown by and I just can't seem to get over it. I'm almost afraid that I'll wake up in the morning and it will be November lol Okay... so that's a bit silly... though I'm sure you get my point.

Was chatting with a few "old" computer friends recently... you know... friends that you haven't actually met in person... though you know so much about them that it's as if they lived next door I can just bet that you know someone that fits in this category. Anyway... the topic of discussion went to the way things used to be on the Internet. The information highway was new... creative webpages were in abundance... though blogs were not even thought of... at least the way we have them presently. There was no Facebook, no MySpace, and can you believe this... no PoGo! Chatting with various others in a box called a "room" was exciting... and building a website of your own was more than enough to keep you up late at night... eating Twinkies... and chugging gallons of your favorite jet fuel or "I.S.K.C." as Grizz would call it  We found that typing "lol" allowed the others to know you were getting the joke... and then many other forms of shorthand followed... some not so nice.

Time got away from us... websites went away... others sprang forward... groups formed... forums came to life... we exchanged moments, hours, days, weeks, months... and believe it or not... many, many years. We've shared in each others moments of glory... and shed tears when events called for them.

My time has been limited for over a year now. Due to one thing or another... I've found that I don't spend as much time doing the things that I used to love to do on the web. The enjoyment of reliving old times with my computer friends is a welcome distraction from the every day that I have going on at the moment. My old computer finally bit the dust... I tried to keep her running as long as I could and finally had to put her down. I now sit in front of my newest delivery... trying to get used to Windows Vista and I'm not having too hard of a time. Except for having to phone tech support at MSN twice.

I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend. I'll return soon enough... if you want to find me... just hit me up on Facebook lol I'm hanging around playing Vampire Wars, Mafia Wars, Nitrous Racing, My Fairyland... and various other game applications. See... the Internet is such a busy place now

Take care...
